Heart 2 Heart is a program affiliated with 4H and Rutgers University that helps increase support and awareness for children with chronic illnesses.
OUR MISSION
At Heart 2 Heart, our mission is to build a community where children with chronic conditions can feel connected, understood, and supported. We aim to create meaningful friendships through our pen pal program, empower families with education and resources, and spread awareness to help others better understand these children’s journeys. We are committed to nurturing a safe, inclusive space where every child can find hope, friendship, and the comfort of knowing they’re not alone.
HOW WE HELP
We offer a pen pal program that connects children with chronic conditions to other kids who understand what they’re going through, helping them build real friendships, share their stories, and feel less alone.
We provide workshops and resources that guide parents through their child’s condition, offer tips for everyday care, and create a space where families can learn from experts and support one another.
We host community events and donation drives that bring families and supporters together to celebrate strength, share stories, and raise important funds to support children with chronic conditions.
